Dusk MediaWiki Skin Released
It’s a fact, wiki’s are rockin’ the web, unfortunately they are usually ugly and confusing to use. Today WikiMedia, the engine behind the world famous Wikipedia, got a facelift! Heavily influenced by the awesome WordPress theme by Becca Wei, Dusk is a good blend of valid XHTML/CSS and twilight colors. Check out the Codex to see it in action, or untar it into the base of your wiki directory to use.

Hi, i had tried your skin. It is wonderful. But there is a problem. In Internet Explorer, the layout is totally haphazard and messy. I use firefox myself but a lot of people use Internet Explorer, so i am guessing that i needs fixing??

It’s _great_ to see a port of this theme to mediawiki. I think it’s one of the best-looking WP themes out there. However your port appears to be fairly borked in IE.
Here’s a screenshoot:

I took a look at the CSS and coudn’t find any obvious problems — but my CSS-foo is not terribly strong. So best I can do is report the issue. Good luck and thanks for the work involved in porting this.

I transferred my whole book into a MediaWiki - WikiDusk - using your skin

I installed the fix for ie but there is still something wrong with the Main Page?!
Thanks,

Cheers…
Could I get an 820px wide version? + with the footer corrected so that the atoms at the bottom do not weight over the footer text?

Gehl, can you send me a link to a screenshot of what you are seeing and your brower type?
Thanks!

Hi, I’m a bumbling idiot that’s having trouble getting the skin to work properly — I get the following error message: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wfnomsg() in /home/u3/jonathanlukens1/html/mwiki/skins/Dusk.php on line 118
In addition, the wrapper does not display behind the background graphics (or anywhere, for that matter). Thanks so much.

I had the same problem as Jonathan. wfNoMsg doesn’t exist - change it in line 118 to wfEmptyMsg .
