What is VoodooTracker?

VoodooTracker was a project that aimed to create an ultramodern “FastTracker 2 style” music sequencer. Additionally VoodooTracker carried the ambitious goal of designing an interface made for live performances via the Internet or a DJ booth.
Final Features
The final version of VoodooTracker provided the following features:
- Strict Gnome compliance
- Session management
- XM and MOD support
- Sample editor
- Instrument editor with support for:
- Volume envelope
- Panning envelope
- Vibrato (sine, square, and saw tooth)
- Volume and vibrato sweeps
- FastTracker2 shortcuts
- OSS and ALSA support
Previously Planned Features
- Support for all module formats supported by Mikmod (including IT)
- Midi support
- Cd ripping of samples
- DJ Studio with virtual machines for mixing, x-fading,
filtering, and distorting (flanger, echo, reverb, delay, etc.)
patterns, tracks, instruments, and samples. - Virtual Synths for creating plucked string, MC-303 sounds, TR-808 beats, etc. for sample editor.
- The ability to record a session to mp3, wma, or realaudio.
- Plugin support for the edition of other virtual components and special effects.
